into one, thanks to the advances in computer
technology.
Early Imaging
People have been trying to understand and record light for more than 2000 years. As
early as the fourth and fifth centuries B.C., Greek and Chinese philosophers discussed
the basic principles of optics. Today we still apply the principles they learned.
