Defining
Mastery
What is mastery? Webster defines mastery as the possession of a
skill or technique that implies freedom from flaws or imperfections;
or skill or knowledge in a subject that makes one a master
in that subject. Mastery is having supreme proficiency in a particular
activity. In this book, I expand the use of the term mastery to describe
that degree of competence at which the individual is willing and able to
take responsibility for the outcome of his or her efforts, even in environments
where the individual does not control all of the forces, such as the
markets.
THE PSYCHOLOGY OF MASTERY
I view mastery as a strategy for effective living as well as trading. It is a
strategy that lets you tap your hidden potential by taking on challenges
