When Kelly Edwards travels to Egypt on vacation, several years after the discovery of the ancient chamber under the sphinx, she encounters a danger so real that it follows her home to the United States. The only way to escape safely is to return to Egypt to fulfill a 65,000-year-old prophecy.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jeff Hunter, who is anything but a typical mathematics professor, learns of his role in this same prophecy while helping a colleague decode ancient Egyptian texts.
