This book sheds light on the deepest feelings of survival which are universal and part of all the wars and battles of the world by asking many questions. The first and fundamental question is the one of motive and sense: "when the people were dying, someone was winning, winning what? And for what?" The second is that of brutality and violence: "The army taught us to emphasize anger-anger is both fuel and courage." The third one is the feeling of guilt because you survived, and your friends did not, even if you do not know if life in the hell of memories is a reward or a punishment. Ivana Sučec, Croatian Parliament member
