Whether you use a Windows or Macintosh computer for your home
recording studio, your system of choice employs much of the same
basic technology. In fact, your simple computer based studio consists of
the same basic components as a typical million dollar professional studio
complex they're just in a different physical format. For example, instead
of the huge mixing board that you see in a commercial studio, you're going
to be working with a piece of software in your computer. It might not look as
