LEARNING PROFESSIONALS who lack basic business skills are at a
distinct disadvantage. A poor comprehension of business issues and the complexities
associated with the business world prevents us from seeing how our efforts fit
into the organization or how they are valued. It is time we took control of our situation
and answered the call to action: the call to demonstrate the impact learning
