Weston Teague was a youngster when he stood on the front porch and watched his father, a marshal of a local Texas town, die. Marshal William Teague was shot by a man who'd threatened to kill him a few days earlier. The marshal had not taken the threat serious. Young Wes Teague vowed he'd take seriously any threat ever made to kill him and that he'd settle the matter on the spot with the man who made such a threat. But, he put aside that vow while in New York City, when James Wood, the foreman of a ranch in Colorado, threatened to kill him. Teague was in the city courting a woman, Abitha Claymore. Her father owned the Colorado ranch and had employed Wood as the foreman. Both men found themselves visiting Abitha at her home in New York City at the same time. And, both men found themselves in love with the same woman. Teague and Abitha marred in New York and left immediately for his ranch in Wyoming. Wood also left New York, but he returned to the Claymore ranch in Colorado. He was seething with anger. Later, Teague would regret his decision not to press the matter with Wood when the threat was made, after Wood came after his wife in Wyoming. But, Wood, and the men who rode with him, would all learn much more about Weston Teague in the days following-things they should have known. One thing they'd learn was why, down in Texas, they used to call him "Bloody" Wes Teague. This is an action-packed western adventure set in the Old West and done in the tradition of Louis L'Amour.
