While this book is not the most comprehensive video game review book out there, it is quite informative for the inexperienced retrogame collector. Treat this as a "Dummies to Retrogaming" for newbies and take it as "a reference for the rest of us" if you already are an expert retrogaming historian. I did enjoy reading it and felt the reviews were not too biased. For the most part, I did agree with the majority of the game reviews. It was nice to see the history spotlights on each system that they presented. I did find a couple of typos and some information that I questioned, but this did not take from the book itself. All aside, there is a wealth of information to sift through. I am sure this was no small task putting everything together for this guide. On the negative side, you cannot print pages from this ebook. It is also a HUGE pain in the a-- to get the book activated in Adobe to read it. This is my first ebook I have bought and would have to think long and hard about doing so again, as the security that is used on these makes it too much of a hassle to bother with.
