Volume 2 begins with the Renaissance humanists and goes up to the 1990s. Each chapter contains an introduction to the period and its historical context and a series of readings, each with its own introduction about its author(s), themes, and impact. A general chapter for each volume contains a preface, introduction, list of abbreviations, and bibliography of readings for that volume. The collection contains 2 volumes, 16 chapters, 611 readings and 1800 pages. Each chapter is downloadable as a PDF file. Each contains an interactive table of bookmarks and is completely searchable.
