The practical aspects of writing are addressed in a clear and humble voice, going on to give much down-to-earth advice about getting published, and not least about having the determination to see your book through to perfection and then publication. The subtitle 'Ways for Writers to Reach Readers' sums it up well, because we could all be pandering to commercial demands all our lives and never quite produce work that's acceptable to sales-led publishers. There are other ways and Pathways to Publication will help you find what's right for *you*. What makes this book different, and loveable, is the many examples of fiction, letters, even scenes of plays, that are shown *as a working development* because writing is an art and art is a process; and it's one that we all (as free writers) struggle with. This is why the book is such a gem. You can take it to bed with you and read one of the vignettes or stories simply for escape, then sleep on it. Next day, your writing will be even better.
