If you are looking for an amazing collection of inspirational poetic and artistic expressions promoting unconditional love look no further.
Embracing Candace: Anthology One is a perfect literary choice. Eight year old Candace Chantel Battiste stole the hearts of poets from around the world. When they heard of her story, Candace inspired one beautiful poem after another in this anthology.
Bringing awareness to a rare skin disorder known as Giant Congenital 'hairy' Nevus, Embracing Candace: Anthology One, has brought together poets and artists dedicated to a common goal: promoting compassion.
The result is a masterpiece of poetic brilliance!
The theme of this anthology is tolerance and compassion for those who have physical differences, such as in the case of this adorable eight year old child, born with a large nevus (knee-vis) on her face.
Your heart will sing and your soul will be uplifted as each poem carries you to a place where tolerance and compassion lives and breathes.. inside of each one of us!
~An Ode To Candace~
Sometimes life might not give.
You might have to strive much harder to live.
But I am here to help, just follow these rules.
They are stepping-stones, and very good tools.
You must be as swift as the coursing river.
With all the force of a great typhoon.
With all the strength of a raging fire.
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon.
Candace you'll live long.
You'll sing a beautiful song.
It will make you much stronger, even hold you up high.
I know you can do it, if you just try.
You will fight hard, you are the best.
You will be stronger, stronger than the rest.
Tears might roll silently down your cheek.
You might feel brittle, brittle and weak.
But you'll know down inside that you were never meek.
I respect and feel for you, you have a good heart.
And since you know how to use it, you truly are smart.
Live, Candace, Live.
