Not having any excerpts to check out before buying this book meant that it was a bit of a blind date. I took the risk, but it turned out to be disastrous.
There are so many typos and grammatical errors that at points it's impossible to read. Worse, there are logistic problems, most notably when giving examples. Often, I had no idea which passage the author's comments related to. I was hoping for clear advice but all I got was confusion.
My favourite goof: "All authors are a wordsmith." (p.86)
If this book hadn't been in my computer, I'd have thrown it across the room. Sorry.
