In this book, Rachel Caine continues to expand the world of the Weather Wardens. She focuses on Cassiel, a former Djinn who refuses an order from Ashan (Old Djinn) and is exiled to Earth as a human. The command she refuses isn't revealed until the end of the book and by then, we know it's just getting started. Typical Caine, it's a tight plot and interesting twists. Lots of danger and excitement, great descriptions, and believable characters. As a plus, some of our favorites from the WW series make brief appearances. It's not exactly a supplement and it won't read well independently, but it really was enjoyable. Sorry, no spoilers here; you should read it yourself if you enjoy this creative, inventive world Caine has created.
