Jason has nightmares on Earth about a strange and barbaric world, then wakens on Praesepe cast in the role of protector to the beautiful Princess Charni in her battle with her evil and sadistic brother Khuramani.
What starts as a dream soon develops into a sweeping saga of greed, cruelty and deception on a barbaric world set in deep space in the Crab nebulae.
Jason has to face many dangers to keep Charni safe; her brother is equally determined that she will fulfill the destiny he has planned for her at the Conjunction--to be the human sacrifice that will welcome the Evil Ones to Praesepe.
