Two and a half years later

"Where are you, Cody?"

Spence Gerhard's question echoed, unanswered in the forest's misty silence. Alone in the vast and rugged Washington state Cascade Mountains near Snoqualmie Pass, he cautiously stepped over the rocks and gray boulders of the mountain.
