I was disappointed with this novel. The summary makes it sound like a good romance. The overall ruling is that although it's well written, the main male character is not charming, honorable or worthwhile, he doesn't bother to romance, he just takes what he wants. He's selfish. The heroine, is not strong willed and able to win the day. She gives up too easily her rights to herself. No, I didn't care for this novel. I will probably check out this author's books at the library before I buy anything from her from now on. Or I may just not bother with reading anything from her.

This novel is Ms Campbell's first. I hope it isn't her last. It is a very good story and once I had started it, I couldn't stop until I had read the entire book. It's an easy, pleasant book to read and the details of the story are good--nothing glossed over. The main characters are strong, interesting people and the story stays focused on them. I enjoyed it very much and will reread it in the future.
