This is about Remy, a cadet in a military academy, invited to join a secret group called the "Hard Corps" also referred to as "Slave Corps". Lots of harsh treatments and abuse and beatings but no sexual intercourse. I'm not so sure she really likes it as much as that. She does end up leaving it all behind. Does this experience really help her change and discover things about herself or does she just grow up. Still it's an interesting read Remy's character is challenging so I have mixed feelings about this book.
