Is there such a thing as a perfect marriage?

After almost twenty years with her husband, Charles, Katherine Stamos finds herself at sea. What has happened to the closeness and passion she and Charles once shared? Her father suggests the perfect solution: a cruise aboard Alexandra's Dream--an opportunity to escape their everyday lives and reconnect with one another.

Once aboard ship, it's still hard to leave their work behind. And much of what Katherine most wants to hear remains unsaid. She begins to think it is perhaps foolish to want to relive the heady feeling of first love. Maybe those emotions are only for the young.

And then she meets June and Albert, an elderly couple who--after decades of marriage--still find magic and excitement in everything they do together. Their example makes Katherine wonder if it is possible for the love she shares with Charles to be perfect, even if she and Charles are not.
