	Modern twist on "Marriage of convenience" 08/14/2009

The most interesting part of the book, is observing the relationship between the main characters. They are virtually strangers, so it's fun to watch them bumble about their marriage. The heroine is just a tad too desperate for my liking, but she blooms later in the story. The hero isn't your typical "white knight" especially since he manipulates the heroine so easily. It's not your typical romance where everyone is beautiful, it's deep in that the characters are flawed (whether physically or not). The sex scenes are not just about sex but intimacy and desire, an emotion that the heroine doesn't believe she evokes.

This book was pretty good. I don't like books in which it seems like the characters' worlds are falling apart, and this book was like that. I liked the main characters, and the ending was good, but this is definitely not one of my favorite books.

She's a heiress, teaches kindergarten and at thirty only wants children and a faithful husband. In her world, he's a have not and wants to be CEO of a company. So they make a deal. She has self confidence issues and he tries to make her overcome them with lots of sex (public places, toys, that kind of thing). What I don't like is that it's as though she finds herself only through men, her husband, her father (he love's her but what a creep). She stands up against her world where for girls it's all about manicures, shopping, country club parties and gossip by picking a guy they don't like. And then the obsession about getting impregnated (do people still talk like that ?)
