The Song
The fourth installment in the national bestselling Sons of Destiny series. Eight brothers, born in four sets of twins, two years apart to the day-they fulfill the Curse of Eight Prophecy, and are thus exiled to Nightfall Isle, in Jean Johnson's "thoroughly romantic and wildly entertaining"* series. Evanor lost his powers-and his voice-in a terrible battle that defeated his family's greatest enemy and gave his sister-in-law her freedom. The advanced magical healing that would restore his voice and powers is beyond their means-but not beyond the ability of the lovely healer Mariel. Mariel can restore what was torn from Evanor-and possibly repair her own broken heart in the process.

A hot man with a unique talent? Sign me up! This fourth novel in the Sons of Destiny series maintains the high standards set in previous novels. Jean Johnson lays some serious groundwork for the plot that carries through all eight novels.

Evanor lost his greatest joy- his ability to sing; can his greatest love return it to him? One of my favorites of this series - Mariel is very down-to-earth and Evanor is very believable & brave in his pain.

In the fourth book of the Sons of Destiny, we find Evanor very depressed, instead of the playful Evanor we got to know in the first two books. He has lost is instrument in making magic, his voice and it's very hard for him to live like that. But there is hope for Evanor. Serina's best friend, Mariel, who we got know in the third book, is a healer and she may help him recover his voice. Mariel isn't like the previous wifes of the first three brothers, she was married once before, and from that marriage she has a son, Mikor. Mikor, like all children is very curious and eager to explore, but all this curiosity may lead to dangers one would not suspect. We continue to see the challenges the inhabitants of Nightfall and it's ruler face to create a new kingdom. This series is great but unlike other series, this should be read in order, in my opinion, since in all the previous books we have information that helps us understand certain events. Like I said in all my previous reviews, this is a must read series.

Even though Evanor comes across as gentle he still is tough. He accepts what fate has given him and is strong enough to fight for his soul.
