Lora Leigh continues her breed series with the story of a shifter by the name of Dawn. Dawn is many things, but perhaps the most important is overcoming the abuse she suffered while trapped in the breed labs. In managing to overcome the trauma of that situation, she finds herself faced with her mate, a human male and has absolutely no idea of how to deal with it. But, one thing Dawn does know is that she cannot handle another female moving in on her man, no matter that she is terrified to do it herself. This story deals literally with Dawn's reawakening as a woman and learning how to go after what she wants, with the help of the one man who can complete her.

I love Lora Leigh. This is one of the most original series out there. I have downloaded and read every one of her 15 Breed books. If you didn't know, most of them are eBooks that are available either here or at Ellora's Cave. Check them out. They are worth it!

I've awaited this book with anticipation and it didn't disappoint. The temperature between Dawn and Seth rages at 100's of degrees, we see the other breed species intermingling and young Cassie has grown up. Couldn't put it down and the end...what a cliff hanger. Who's gonna hunt Cassie?

After a sophomoric dry spell Lora Lee is back. Returning to the original characters and storyline, Dawn's awakening has the heat that leigh is known for. Thank god!

Ms. Leigh continues to overwhelm me with her superior writing prowess. Her ability to build an entirely new world for her characters to function in is incredible. As the latest in the Breed book series, Dawn's Awakening is one of her best books yet. While it was not her hottest book, the emotional aspects were so much deeper. This is one that the readers have been waiting for for years and Dawn and Seth's story was definitely worth the wait! At the end of the novel she sets up several new plot lines and feeds into her next book of the series. I cannot wait for Merc's story. Or for Cassie's which will come later on down the road. All in all a superb book, though I would suggest that readers check out a few of her previous publications to get the background story on the main characters. It just makes it that much sweeter!
