I enjoyed this book because the focus was on Anita and her work. The reading flowed better. It reminded me of when the series first began.

Other reviews (and the series itself, honestly) put me off this book for awhile, although I understand the need for some back story. I felt that the story line had been deteriorating since "Micah". What I liked about in this book: there was a kind of resolution with Richard, Anita is coming to terms with her calling beasts, and the story indirectly seems to be leading up to what Marmee Noir wants. I guess it was time to know more about Jean-Claude's pomme de sang. This was one of the better "fillers" in the story line. I don't feel like I wasted money on it and I'd recommend it.

I loved this book. Not only does it give extra backgroud on Jason but it also shows Richard realizing how hypocritical he can be the majority of the time. I hate that he's the only one who can never seem to just go with the flow and now they show him realizing what a jerk he can be. I love that! I liked this chaacter reveal "episode" much better than Micah because there is still somme action taking place besides just getting to know Jason better.

While this book is not one of the best in the series, it is definitely worth reading. Jason is not one of my favorite characters, but it was about time to tie up some lose ends regarding is relationship with Anita.

I really enjoyed this book as an intermission book. Blood Noir was a lot like Obsidian Butterfly or Micah, they both give background stories about the main characters chosen so we can understand them better, but at the same time is allows the author to imagine a better follow up of the hard situation within the series that Anita must go through. It was a very good read kept you on your toes but I cant wait to read what Laurell K. Hamilton has in store for Anita and the rest of the characters, all I hope is that she isn't even close to finished with this series, the books are just too good and almost impossible to put down.
