It really wasn't worth reading or buying. Extremely overrated and didn't live up to the hype. It got old fast and wasn't as good as the others in the series.

I love any book written by Christine. If her married life is as good as her books, then, OH MY GOD! I have all of her books paranormal and carpathian, don't know why I didn't get into the sisters though I did read some of them. And they were GREAT! If you don't want to be disappointed in a book get a Christine Feehan book!

Although I didn't buy the digital format of this book, I cannot pass on the chance to review another great by Christine Feehan. To me, she's my favourite and best writer of paranormal romance. This is 17th book of the Dark Series (counting Dark Celebration). In this book the main characters are Nicholas De La Cruz e Lara Calladine. He's the second eldest of the De La Cruz brothers and she's a descendent of Rhiannon Dragonseeker. In this book there's two stories, one of the lifemates and how they learn to love each other and live together, and the second regarding the problems carpathian people have struggled. We learn why the women have so many problems with getting a pregnancy to term and why children very rarely pass their first birthday. I've finished reading this book, but already I'm feeling the need to read the book once again. The books by Christine Feehan are more then love stories. They involve a very complex but interesting plotline. I would recommend this book and this author to anyone that loves paranormal romance.
