What a let down! Not at all on par with previous books in series. It felt forced as if written because of an obligation not inspiration.

The fourth book in this series and its as good as all the others. Brad Swanson is the Reverend in a small western town. After a scintillating painting and a shotgun wedding he winds up in a situation where he's never been before and where he's always dreamed of being. Will he let his past interfere with his happily ever after or will he embrace love and the family he's waited his whole life to have. The story is engaging and incredibly sexual (including one religiously questionable encounter involving the church). A great read that I couldn't put down.

I loved the next book in the Promises series, the preacher and the wild child works great as a story and continues the lives of the rest of the characters in the previous Promises' stories. Watch out for the suprise about the Preacher - he is a wild one himself -- Another great read by Sarah McCarty !!
