Romance title: The Mage
This is the final book in the acclaimed series of ?cursed brothers, fated mates, prophecies? destiny and magic.?(Robin D. Owens) New York Times bestselling author Jayne Ann Krentz hails Jean Johnson?s writing as ?fabulously fresh, thoroughly romantic, and wildly entertaining.? Now, Johnson returns for the final book in the series of eight brothers destined to fulfill a strange prophecy. Jean Johnson is a very good writer, butI felt that the books in this series got progressively weaker. I was disappointed in the climax and let down by what I felt to be an abrupt ending.

I loved this book! What a twist Jean Johnson gave. I never would have expected it, and for that, the book is grand. Although the Seer Draganna has told us the end of this series, it's a thrill to watch it unfold and see how the all powerful Morgannen falls for Hope O'Neil. Trouble never ceases to end in Nightfall Island, even with the Convocation of Gods taking place. Definitely, a must have. All of the series.

5 out of 5 stars 2 04/09/2009
Reviewer: Vicky Kierans from Plant City, FL US
I read this book in a day. I could not put it down. After the last book which I hated I wasnt even going to bother with this book but thankfully I had nothing at home I wanted to read so I took a chance on this one. I was breathless while reading. The story evolved at such a fast pace but it never felt like the author was rushing past anything. This book was just full of excitement and left you eagerly turning the pages for more. Every time I had to get up and do that annoying thing called work I was anxious to get back and find out hat happened and that has never happened to me while reading ANY of the books in this series some of whuch were better than others, The Flame being one that stunk to high heaven. Read this book today, it is a great read.
