I had read of Nalini Singh's work but hadn't tried any of her books before. I decided to buy her work because I really like the fact that she's from the Pacific or Oceania. My choice settled on this particular book because the excerpt seemed to promise a challenging and feisty resolution between the heroine and hero. Disappointing. At times, I found the heroine irritating and unreasonably stupid in the guise of being "tough." I read this book in one "go" and so skim-read a lot of the conflict / interactions concerning the Psy Council and the changelings. I plan to read another couple of books in the hope that I will like both hero and heroine better.

Well I was anxiously awaiting another great book by Singh when this finally came out. I think my problem with the book is that it felt like everything happened way to fast, even though the book was long. This just did not do it for me but I will keep reading Singh because I think she is great author.
