I absolutely adored this book! Peyton and JD are completely normal characters, the situation they wind up in feels like a totally normal one and yet, you don't get bored with a "normal" love story. I actually laughed out loud at this book while reading it, which is HUGE for me. But really, what it came down to was two very likeable characters who you can't help rooting for. I'm looking forward to more books from Ms James!

Julie James is a new favorite of mine. This is the second book I have read by her. I loved both of them. The relationship between Payton and JD is very realistic and believable. The dialogue is amazing. I love the story. It made me laugh out loud. Great story!

Julie James sophomore effort is entirely enjoyable. Payton Kendall and J.D. Jameson are two hard working legal associates who have been feuding for the past 8 years but pretending to be cordial co-workers in public. They are both up for partnership however they are informed that only one of them will become partner. They have a month until the decision is made; in the meantime they are both assigned the same case. What follows is the perfect hates turns to romance story. This is a sharp and clever romance; James does a great job with character development. I loved the sexual tension between Payton and J.D. along with the amusing references to Pride and Prejudice. I did not want to stop reading.
