This story shows the heroine's turmoil as she struggles to adapt to her new Pack and discovers a strength never knew she was capable of. Beautifully written, great storyline, unforgettable characters.

I bought this after reading and likingthe forst two installments of the Mercy Thompson series by the same author. I didn't like it as much as the other series. I found it hard to like Charles with a closer character reading, and Anna didn't have the same charisma as Mercy. That being said there were some wonderful secondary characters and situations and the book picked up drastically in the second half after a rather sluggish first half. I'd recommend the other series before this one.

Very good! Stayed up late to finish this book! Lately I'm really in the mood for really strong, fierce women beatin' on some evil demon, vampire, or were butt! Patricia Briggs does not disappoint!

I thought that this book was good. I will enjoy reading the series as it comes out, but at the same time, hope it isn't intended to replace new books in the Mercedes series. I didn't know about the novella, so grasping the history behind the book was a bit difficult, and at times distracting. The lead is definitely not as strong as a character as Mercedes is.

A fantastic new twist to a Werewolf story made me fall in love with this genre all over again. This book deserves more than 5 stars , it grabs you by the heartstrings and makes you wish that the story of Anna and Charles would last and last for at least 2 more books
