Yeah, I'm 2/3rds through and I'm really, really not sure I'm going to finish the book. I can barely finish the current chapter. The heroine and her trusty best friend sidekick are one-dimentional and rote. The heroine is a pain in the neck who repeats the same mantra of science over magic over and over and over until, JUST in the nick of time, she opens her mind. Yawn. Urgh. Really? Is this the only story to tell? It's not well set up, not well told, not a good book at all.
