I cant get enought of the brotherhood. I love them all, and this is just a continuation of the hottest males around. cant wait for the next one

After the fiasco of Book 6, Lover Enshrined (hint: devoting an entire book to the whiniest, most annoying vampire ever is not a good plan), Ward fortunately revitalizes the series with Lover Avenged. This is Rehvenge's book and it was, at times, a very hard and intense read. I had to put it down and get some space from it more than once. But, overall, I was satisfied. Ward managed to, hopefully, thin out the number of story arcs she was trying to keep going, as well as spending much less time with the pesky Lessening Society (i.e., the baddies).

Everyone seemed to be so upset the J.R. Ward was switching to the urban/dark fantasy genre. I admit that I was among those people. I was so sure that I was going to be disappointed that I considered not buying the book. I was mad at JR Ward for changing genres. After all I do believe that she writes the best sex scenes that I have ever read. Lover Avenged did not disappoint. Yes there is much less sex than previous books. However I really enjoyed learning more about Rhvenge and updates on all of my favorite characters from the books.

The world of J R Ward gets more complex with each book. Here we not only learn more about rhevenge(?) but also much more about the 'sympaths' and what it means to be one and a little bit about where they fit into this world of theirs. Rhevenge is not a good person, on the surface, but with the right person he not only shows his softer side he also realize that he deserves happiness. For all the heroes in the book there is also an interesting development with the villains, with a strong ,'nasty' character that will probably play an even more important role in one of the following stories. It is hot and sexy with a good story line..we want more..and soon.
