I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series. As the 4th book, Butch and Marissa's story (which we got a taste of in Book 1) is much anticipated and J.R. Ward doesn't let her readers down. My only regret is that there was never more to the Butch - V relationship, which I love. Read it and you will see what I mean!

J. R. Ward has written another great addition to the series. The story is really well done and the relationship between Butch and Vishous is a great added dimension. Like all the BDB books, this isn't just about the main couple, but encompasses other characters as well. That's really the strength of this book because without the relationship between Butch and Vishous this would be just another paranormal romance. Another good addition was a bit more information about the Lessers, the Omega, the BDB rituals, etc. The BDB gets better with each installment and makes me really look forward to the next in the series.

Butch is that gruff, clean up before you take home to mama type. But he took my heart in the first book. I waited so long for this one. He was so real and believable. A real man's man with emotions (hidden of course). Ward did a great job creating a complex character in a complex situation. Ward kept me up all night. AGAIN!

I fell for Butch in book one of this series, and it was torture waiting for his book to come out. But this novel was well worth the wait. As usual J.R. Ward delivers a sexy, smart novel that gets your hands dirty in the world of vampires and their fight to save their kind. I can't possibly praise this series enough and if they go up to ten stars on this site, I'll come back and give every book in this series their due.
