"Damn it!"
Carolyn stared in disbelief at the open glove box, and the papers that were scattered everywhere in the car. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed shakily. She must have forgotten to close the driver's window and her carelessness had allowed someone to break into her car and search it.
She reached into the open window and shuffled through the papers. Her car title and insurance certificate hadn't been stolen, nor had anything else as far as she could tell. Someone, probably a kid, had been looking for money, she decided, as she stuffed everything back into the glove box. Or had the tabloid reporters been snooping into her life again?
