Nicolas Kris, formerly Nickoli Kristov, grinned as he sank soundlessly into the black leather couch, the only piece of furniture in the living area of his penthouse apartment. He lived alone and didn't believe in having more furniture and household items than were absolutely necessary. He'd had enough of that in his First Life and preferred to keep his Second Life uncluttered.

The room was done in a stark black and white motif with a few touches of color like the original Georgia O'Keefe over the completely unnecessary fireplace.
