Elise and Simon are married, you'll find them in the feast celebrating their union, although ths union is of convenience, Elise has fallen in love with Simon and Simon is deeply in love with her, but neither one knows about the feeling of the other. They'll lsiten to friends and family to know how to pleasure each other and make the other one falls in love. It's a tender story, sometimes funny, sometimes sweet. Simon is so insecure about his manners, he thinks himself so brute that he can't see what Elise sees, and she sees a man that take care of her although she's a enemy's daughter. You'll look for the other three books on the British brides serie... I love this one and can hardly wait to read the others.
