Tarzan of the Apes

Tarzan of the Apes is the greatest adventure/love-story every written. Adopted by apes when his parents perish in the jungle, Tarzan (white skin) grows up believing himself an ape. Howling insults and flinging and overripe fruits at the more dangerous denizens of the jungle from the safety of arboreal branches, he lives as an ape joining in their games, battles and tribal rites developing prodigious strength and extraordinary senses. Then one day he stumbles on a weed-enshrouded cabin containing a group of children's books that teach him to read. To his amazement, Tarzan learns he is not an ape, but something called a "m-a-n” and begins to long for others of his kind. But, when he meets them, his idyllic jungle Eden will be shattered forever.
