The sky was dark and spitting hailstones on Friday morning just
before 11 a.m., when secretary Myrtle Bergheim from the White House
press office passed by the pressroom. "The Boss says don't go away,"
she told the loitering reporters. "He might have a little something
later."
A few minutes later, a dozen reporters gathered around the walnut
