Chapter One

The music was a gentle swell of sound around the riverbank clearing. It was here the gang gathered together for a weekend of drinking, fishing, and a general redneck helluva good time. It was the first gathering of the summer, and it looked like the crowd was all there. Just as they had been for the last decade. The boys of summer were back again and ready to forget the cares and woes of weekday reality.

RVs, tents, pickup trucks and a various assortment of vehicles were pulled to the edge of the camping area as a bonfire burned in the center. Shouted welcomes and laughter filled the forested valley along the riverbank as music vibrated through the area with enough force to make certain no wildlife ventured near.

The flickering light cast an eerie glow about the forest behind it, even as it reflected the revelry of those around the fire. Its the first book by Ms. Lora that I have read. its heart wrenchingly beautiful book. The author knows how to draw in her reader so that we laugh and rejoice with her characters. We cry with them at their loss and yes we literally throb with their passion too. A must read and one you will remember for a very very long time.

Lora Leigh is a exception writer. I have read all her books and cant wait for her to write the next book. You can never go wrong when you pick up her books. You dont even have to read the desciption. You just know it is the one.

Lora Leigh is one of my favorite authors. Her books always have an interesting plot, great characters, steamy sex, and a happy ending. What more can you ask for? This book doesn't disappoint on any of those. The plot, while perhaps a bit unbelievable, is still interesting and the emotions are good. This is just one of Lora Leigh's books that I'd recommend! All of her books are excellent!

I love all of Lora Leigh's books and this is no exception to that rule. The only reason that this book did not get five stars from me is that Slade's story about why he left seems a bit unbelievable and took me out of the story.
