A Muse Me
Chapter One
The room was standard issue hotel, with a queen size bed against the wall beside
the window and a small desk in the corner. Across from the bed was a
headache-inducing chair with a horrible striped pattern. A small end table was
next to it with a lamp and a Holy Bible placed on top. There was a TV on a stand
that you could watch while lying in bed. The room was pleasant, small and Eugene
looked to the sky to thank God, it had internet access.
Like a large redwood falling in the forest, Eugene dropped his bags and plunged
face first into the bed. It was a well-deserved nap. For four hours he had no
distractions, no phones, nothing but a loud, obnoxious snore echoed through the
small room. The only interruption was the occasional pause for him to fart.
Airplane peanuts gave Eugene gas.
