Willow Bend
Romance/Gay Contemporary (M/M) Can two men from different worlds cut the ties binding them to heartaches past and present, and make a life together? For Paul Gordon, the little town of Willow Bend, South Carolina is the perfect place to start over. A place where he can move on after his lover's death, alone and anonymous. Cory Saunders is just trying to survive. Between working two jobs and caring for his ailing mother, it's all he can do to keep his head above water. When Paul and Cory meet, their mutual attraction is undeniable. When the intense physical attraction starts to blossom into something deeper, neither wants to admit to what's happening. Cory doesn't have time for a relationship, and Paul isn't sure he's ready for one. But sometimes, what you thought you couldn't have turns out to be exactly what you need. Willow Bend

Chapter One

Cory pocketed the meager tip old Mr. Jones left him and glanced at the clock. Quarter to nine. Forty-five more minutes until Paul came to get him. He shook his head, laughing at himself for acting like a high-school virgin.

"Cory!" Alicia nudged him with her elbow.

"Hm?" Cory didn't look up from the table he was clearing. He wondered idly what Paul would look like naked.

"You got a customer."

Cory sighed. "Now? Fifteen minutes 'til closing?"

"Yeah." Alicia grinned, brown eyes twinkling. "He asked for you special."

Cory started to say something thoroughly unprofessional. Then a thought struck him. His head snapped up, eyes searching the room. Paul smiled and waved at him from the little table in the corner. Cory smiled back.

"Here, I'll finish this." Alicia snatched the dirty glass he still held right out of his hand and popped him on the butt. "Go get him, stud."

Cory laughed. "Thanks, 'Licia."

She gave him a little shove and he strolled over to Paul's table, grinning like an idiot. "Hi, Paul. You're here early. Although it looks like I might actually be o ... read full excerpt from: Willow Bend ebook

This was one of those feel good stories. It had a couple obstacles to it but nothing too threatening, making it an easy enough ride to a happy ending. The characters were very likeable. I didn't feel the town they lived in was too far fetched.

Well, what could I say about this book? I liked it so much that I've already read it about three or four times. I love the way Ally Blue creates her men: Paul, a man in his thirties with a horrible past (a dead lover) who run away from the city to forget; on the other side is Cory, a 24-year-old cute boy with a horrible present (an ill mom). None of them wants to love, but what can you do when the time to love comes although you don't want it? The characters' feelings are so cute and passionate, and the sex scenes are so hot. I laughed and I cried, but it was a wonderful time. Read it, you won't have any regrets.

Blue manages to make these men seem so real. Sure, they're unbelievably gorgeous and live in a small town where it's totally accepted to be gay:)...But that's what fiction is for, I suppose. Each man had issues to work through, but, for the most part, they worked through them together. This is a true romance novel.
