Chapter One
I followed because of the firm grip he had on my elbow and plus, I wanted to go
with him. I giggled nervously. "That was a little rude."
"I couldn't help it. Is it a crime that I want you all to myself?" He winked and
I grinned back at him like a love-struck idiot.
Richard led me past a gaping Shelly, out of the gym, down the long hall of the
school, until we came to an open room. He pulled me inside and immediately shut
the door behind us.
I hate the dark. The room was nearly black, and it was cold. "Could you please
turn on the lights?"
"Are you scared?" I could hear the teasing in his tone.
"Yes. I am actually. Aren't I a big baby?" I pouted.
"No. I think everyone is scared of something. If they tell you otherwise they're
full of shit." He walked over to the light switch and flicked it on. The room
was suddenly filled with florescent light. Richard stalked towards me, a cool,
deliberate expression in his eyes, and my body trembled with anticipation for
what was to come. Did he really mean to make a move on me in this classroom?
