Chapter One

"Eight ball, corner pocket."

Caelan Graham tipped the bottle of Bud Light to his lips and took a long drag as he pointed his cue stick toward his chosen spot. He tried to alleviate some of the tension strumming through his charged body by rolling his head on his shoulders. Tonight was a full moon and he was restless. He needed a good, long fuck and a run through the woods, preferably in that order. Since he'd come here tonight to fill Eli in on the latest pack developments, it didn't look like either the fuck or the run was going to happen in the immediate future. Instead, he'd settle for winning another round of pool.

He set the bottle on the edge of the table and lined up his shot, rocking the stick three times before striking the cue ball. With a satisfying clack, it careened into the eight ball, knocking it into the pocket.

"I win. Again," he said flatly. This was getting way too easy.

"Goddamn it!"

I love these characters! two hot twins and a women who is hilarious and head strong and throw in a ghostly grandma to boot. The plot and the sex is good! this is the first McKenna story I liked. I gave her another chance after tooth and claw.

This story was hilarious. She has an attitude that won't quit besides being psychic and addicted to (oops- brand name)and alpha werewolf Caelan has his work cut out to mate her and catch the serial killer before the killer kills Tiernan.

When the attacks continue Caelan must depend on Tierans sight for clues. Mates book 1, Seeing Eye Mate, kept me turning the pages and I couldn't put it down until I read the final word. Annmarie McKenna has woven a tale of suspense, intrigue, delicious naughtiness, with a bit of comedy thrown in for good measure. The male characters were unabashedly Alpha, with all the machismo and attitude the word implies. I have happily placed this book on my keeper shelf and have decided that Annmarie McKenna is one author I want to keep reading!

I just found this book by browsing and picked it out because it was cheap and really liked it. I could not put this book down. I believe this is Ms. McKenna first book. She did a really good job with it. It had a few problems which I did not believe takes from the story. Mostly these problems will be fixed when she writes more books.

PNR - storyline : a shapeshifter meets his mate, a psychic, while a serial killer is bent on eliminating female mates. my first attempt to read Annemarie McKenna. I found it a good mix between paranormal romance and suspense. you suspect early on who the killer is but it doesn't matter much. As for the romance, it is hot! In brief: not outstanding but still a good read.
