Ian didn't know why he was torturing himself this way. He'd watched the woman for months, and she showed no signs of betraying her friends or their secret. Her obvious loyalty counted for much in his mind. From what he had observed, the female doctor had formed deep friendships with Christy, Kelly and Lissa, the three new vampire mates who had been recently claimed and turned. This novella is a continuation of a storyline first started in 'Sweeter than Wine.' While D'arc introduces some fascinating new myhtology, this title has none of the complexity of 'Sweeter than Wine.' Readers not familiar with D'arc's vampire universe will be confused and somewhat dissapointed.

Though this book is only a little over 70 pages, it is still an enjoyable, albeit quick, read. "Forever Valentine" is a sort of continuation of "Sweeter than Wine". I would say, however, that "Forever Valentine" is more like a side novella than another installment of a series, which was a disappointment.
