Chapter One

They were alone.

"You finished with your snit?" he asked softly.

"It wasn't a snit," Gemma retorted.

"Whatever." Cash curled his big hands over her shoulders. "So, happy as I am to see you again, it pisses me off that you think I'd be knockin' boots with a woman the same age as my daughter."

The warmth of his touch sent tingles down the center of her body. "Far as I know, the young bunnies hovering around an experienced cowboy like yourself could be exactly your type."

"Wrong. But I don't think you tracked me down just to chew my ass for who you suspect might've been rockin' my horse trailer." His hands fell away. "So why don't you cut to the chase and tell me why you're really here, eh?"

Gemma studied him. The regal bone structure in his face highlighted the intriguing crosshatch of facial lines, courtesy of the years he'd spent working outdoors. When he smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkled and added to his rugged good looks.

"I heard you quit rodeoin' fulltime."

"Yeah? Who'd you hear that from?"

Great story with both older and younger characters, good second book to the series continues thes aga of the mckays with some hot steamy scenes in the mix.

The dual storylines were fine, but the book was about 100 pages to long. It got very monotonous! The characters were intersting, the dialogue was well written, character interaction was fine, sex scenes for both couples was steamy, but it was just so much of the same that it became boring! My other complaint is that both storylines were very predictable! No suspense what-so-ever. Just nothing I could really sink my teeth into.

I loved this book. I'm a fan of the series, but this book is the best so far. Although I always look for hot sex scenes, especially of the dominant alpha male variety and believe me there are plenty of those, I found myself enjoying the stories just as much. I say stories because the reader gets two books in one. All the characters are likable and strong. Cash and his daughter both go after what they want and work at developing a father daughter bond. Cash and Carter both being alpha males are very protective and dominant with their women. But these women can handle themselves and their men. And let's not forget, the love scenes are just hot.
