Thee are stories are the softer side of Shelly Laurenston's writing set in a mythical land of witches and dragons. The story of Fergus and his insane/rage filled love Annwyl will leave you wanting more from Aiken which she gives in the next installment of the Dragon Kin series - About A Dragon. Here you also get to read about the love story that developed between Fergus's parents that is equally steamy. The best part about these books however if that you really find yourself falling in love with and rooting for the characters here. Definitely buy this book and then get the next one because they are amazing!

This is the first shape shifter book I have read and it did not disappoint. I thought this book was one of the best I have ever read. I loved that the heroine was not weak, but independent and strong. I loved the way the characters interacted, I felt like I was there! I definatly recommend this book

Love it. Loved her Pack Series written as Shelly Laurenston (check them out)and I absolutely love this. Her smart mouth heroines and her delicious alpha males are truly wonderful. More soon please.

I can say I liked this, but it's reluctantly. The heroine is a bit eccentric, impulsive, and strangely emotional. (she's supposed to be a leader, a military one at that) The dragon is...tempting. ^_^ (I don't like the cover, but that's just me) I guess this beings mew meaning to "opposites attract" The supporting characters are also engaging. This is good as brain candy, but not deep in terms of plot and stuff.
