Que la sociedad argentina estuviera inmersa en el discurso religioso catÃ³lico, gracias a la obligatoriedad de la ley de enseÃ±anza religiosa (1943), no tornaba inverosÃmil la utilizaciÃ³n del contenido religioso por el Justicialismo, aunque no justificara la suerte de revisionismo que causarÃa el enfrentamiento posterior. PerÃ³n persiguiÃ³ a sus opositores; tambiÃ©n la Iglesia CatÃ³lica, a travÃ©s de sectores ultramontanos persiguiÃ³ la competencia de otros cultos, incluyendo la competencia oficial sobre la interpretaciÃ³n de cuestiones doctrinarias, a travÃ©s de directivas del Vaticano sobre la defensa de valores esenciales. Influyeron las peculiares ideas religiosas de Evita, y el espontÃ¡neo mito popular gestado luego de su prematura muerte; tambiÃ©n los manejos polÃticos que condujeron a la ruptura final -derogaciÃ³n de privilegios eclesiÃ¡sticos e incendios de iglesias mediante-, logrando soldarse un amplio frente opositor que instaurarÃa una alianza oligÃ¡rquico-imperialista.

SÃntesis biogrÃ¡fica del autor

NaciÃ³ en La Falda, CÃ³rdoba, en 1951. Licenciado en Historia, egresado de la Universidad Nacional de CÃ³rdoba. En 1980 se radicÃ³ en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, realizando investigaciÃ³n independiente en temas de historia argentina publicados en revistas de la especialidad: Todo es Historia, Historia, e incluso el Anuario de Estudios Americanos (Sevilla, EspaÃ±a). En 1990, publicÃ³ con el Centro Editor de AmÃ©rica Latina, el libro que se reedita en esta ediciÃ³n, y en 1999, "Italianos en la Argentina. Los lombardos", con la AsociaciÃ³n Dante Alighieri de Buenos Aires, fruto de una investigaciÃ³n con la que habÃa ganado un concurso premiado con un viaje a Italia. Actualmente, ha regresado a su provincia natal, donde estÃ¡ dedicado a la docencia.
