Reader Review: A.C Crispin's Han Solo Trilogy is one of my favorites. In The Paradise Snare, 19 year old Han Solo escapes his unhappy life aboard an old pirate ship to make his way to Ylesia where he is hired to transport spice to and from the planet. And here, amongst the odd t'landa Til priests he meets his first love, Bria Tharen. Crispin writes Han's story as an adventure, romance and thriller. I have to admit that the fact that a good portion of this book is about drug addiction kind of threw me for a loop. It didn't altogether feel like regular Star Wars. I have to give Crispin credit for being one of the only writers to actually depict the ravages of addiction. All other Star Wars sources only talk about Spice and Spice running in passing. But don't let that detour you. Primarily this is a romance and it's a great story that's well told.
Here is the first book in the blockbuster trilogy that chronicles the never-before-told story of the young Han Solo. Set before the Star Wars movie adventures, these books chronicle the coming-of-age of the galaxy's most famous con man, smuggler, and thief.
The first book in this exciting Han Solo series begins with a recounting of Han's late teen years and shows us how he escaped an unhappy adopted home situation to carve out an adventurous new life for himself as a pilot. Han Solo, the handsome rogue, is every girl's dream man, and every boy's hero.
Features a bonus section following the novel that includes a primer on the Star Wars expanded universe, and over half a dozen excerpts from some of the most popular Star Wars books of the last thirty years!

| Note | ePub, short for electronic publication is one of our favorites and should be yours for a couple of reasons. ePub offers reflowable text giving you flexibility to manipulate how the content is presented. Moreover, lots of cool features are now being developed for the reader like advanced video and audio. ePub is now an industry standard, so all of the "non-propreitary" hardware manufacturers are now supporting it. |
