Reader Review: This book is amazing! This book is the 1st in the twilight series and what an awesome start it was! The story is about an average teenage girl, Bella, finding herself falling in love with a vampire, Edward, and all the ups and downs that comes with it. As simple as it seems, there is so much more to it! Warning: Have plenty of time to spare when starting because once you start reading, you won't be able to stop! This is my favorite book series and I will be first in line for the 4th installment of the twilight saga, breaking dawn, soon to be released in august!

The #1 New York Times bestseller is available for the first time in a mass market paperback edition, featuring a striking movie tie-in cover.

Bella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear.

Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Twilight

Chapter One

Forks High School had a frightening total of only three hundred and fifty-seven - now fifty-eight - students; there were more than seven hundred people in my junior class alone back home. All of the kids here had grown up together-their grandparents had been toddlers together. I would be the new girl from the big city, a curiosity, a freak.

Maybe, if I looked like a girl from Phoenix should, I could work this to my advantage. But physically, I'd never fit in anywhere. I should be tan, sporty, blond - a volleyball player, or a cheerleader, perhaps - all the things that go with living in the valley of the sun.

Instead, I was ivory-skinned, without even the excuse of blue eyes or red hair, despite the constant sunshine. I had always been slender, but soft somehow, obviously not an athlete; I didn't have the necessary hand-eye coordination to play sports without humiliating myself - and harming both myself and anyone else who stood too close.

When I finished putting my clothes in the old pine dresser, I took my bag of bathroom necessities and went to the communal bathroom to clean myself up after the day of travel. I looked at my face in the mirror as I brushed through my tangled, damp hair. Maybe it was the light, but already I looked sallower, unhealthy. My skin could be pretty - it was very clear, almost translucent- looking - but it all depended on color. I had no color here.

Facing my pallid reflection in the mirror, I was forced to admit that I was lying to myself. It wasn't just physically that I'd never fit in. And if I couldn't find a niche in a school with three thousand people, what were my chan

I would highly recommend this book & series to anyone of any age. I originally thought this was a young adult series, but I absolutely LOVED this author & series. Its well written & the relationship between Bella & Edward transcends age. I would definitely recommend getting the author's download of Midnight Sun to go with this book, to get Edward's point of view of their first encounters.

A great start

Although this book is a wonderful start to the Twilight Saga and very needed to set up the love/obbession between Bella and Edward, I didn't think it was good enough to earn 5 stars as a stand alone book.

When I first bought this book, I bought it in book form first, they hadnt even made the film yet. First I read it and I was like, oh! not very good, but then I carried on reading, and suddenly, I was just hooked. I couldnt put tje book down an I was up all night reading practically, I knew it was a bad obsession. Over all, its an amazing book, you get caught in the book at once, there not really any flaws, or maybe ive just skipped them and dont want to admit thaat there is!!! not sure!!

Loved It!

I heard a lot of hype about this series and waited a long time to start reading it. But once I did I had to read all 4 books. Loved all the characters. Stephanie wrote her characters in a very believable fashion. It is very easy to connect with them emotionally. I was also pleasantly surprised at how "clean" this book was. And I love how the tension between Edward and Bella becomes more and more electric. A very enjoyable read.
