Reader Review: If there is one thing that Anne does well is character driven stories. While over the years there has been an occasional miss with her dragon stories (very few), this is not one of them. Her research into plagues and their interaction between animals and man made this story believable and the people were sympathetic and it all just flowed with us being drawn into it.
Moreta, Weyrwoman of Fort Weyr, struggles to save the dragons of Pern from a deadly plague and risks her life to destroy the lethal parasite Thread and to preserve the future of the planet.
