Reader Review: I loved this novel!! The main character is very likeable, I found myself rooting for her all throughout the story. Her man, on the other hand, was a little frustrating, but the conflict between them made for a great story. Baird had me laughing and crying and thoroughly enjoying every page. Highly recommended!
Naive Phoebe Brown fell for Mediterranean magnate Jed Sabbides after he wined, dined and bedded her with a fervor that made her feel cherished. Title: The Sabbides Secret Baby October 19, 2012 I absolutely love this book. Not for one moment didn't I think she was still pregnant. Also, I love the reunion; pretending not to know him. I really love this book.Great book and great story line.

I loved this novel!! The main character is very likeable, I found myself rooting for her all throughout the story. Blackmail to have his baby! Another typical Harlequin story.

This is a TRUE Baird's story.
Jed and Phoebe were lovers. She was in love and thought that it was a real relationship. For Jed it was a convenience, Phoebe was merely his lover, nothing more than that.
So when she announces that she's pregnant, Jed makes all her dreams vanish in the air with his hateful words.
She lost the baby, but couldn't forget all the nasty things that was said between them. She goes away.
Years later they'll meet again and Jed will discover that Phoebe only lost one child when she was pregnant with twins. So, he's the proud father of a little boy that is very smart, and handsome. He'll make everything to have his baby in his arms, including blackmail.
The story is typical Harlequin with its misunderstandings and secret feelings.
It's a good one, and it was a great read in a rainy afternoon (for me...).
