Title: Walk Among the Tombstones, A: A Matthew Scudder Crime Novel April 25, 2010 Looking for a new author with a healthy back-catalogue to explore, I came across Lawrence Block. Lots of books, good reviews and even the odd crime-writing literary prize. What a disappointment this book is. Pedestrian plot, tired dialogue ( the relationship between the protagonist and his part-time hooker girlfriend produces endless pointless diversions from the story for instance ) and characters about as deep as a Rizla cigarette paper. Who handed out a gong for this rubbish? Back to the search for me, I'm afraid.
